About the VERE Association

The VERE Association for the take-back and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (VERE e.V. registered association) is an international community for the optimal organization and management of all environmental laws arising from the obligations and consequences for manufacturers, importers and distributors of electrical and electronic equipment. The VERE Association especially cares for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), micro-enterprises and sole proprietorships and preserves its interests. Thus, VERE fills a niche in the sector of electrical and electronis devices.

The VERE Association provides lobbying while constantly maintaining its political neutrality. As a guardian for small and medium-sized enterprises VERE attends to the problems, concerns and grievances of its members and transfers the issues into the political debate. Thus, VERE is close connected with numerous administrative, ministerial and governmental authorities as well as business organizations, chambers of industry and commerce and chambers of crafts.

VERE developed a specifically tailored concept for the concerns and needs of SMEs. For the implementation of this concept "take-e-way" was founded in 2004. The services and solutions of take-e-way (e.g. for WEEE/ElektroG, Batteries Act, Packaging Ordinance etc) allows the members of VERE to focus on their core competencies and their core business. Thus, VERE and its communal spirit represent the philosophy on which all services offered by take-e-way are based upon.

By pooling the interests of many individuals and small enterprises VERE became a major player within the market. For this reason VERE can offer even more attractive service modules and affordable fees via take-e-way. Here, a collective system was formed, in which members may benefit from each other. Thus, VERE bundles small and medium-sized enterprises to create a counterweight to major industrial enterprises.
